Thank you very much for the short but enjoyable time in your Villa, it was fantastic. Our thanks also to Maria and Ani they were great, Ani is a great cook, she cooked some delicious meals for us, and I must say better than a couple of times we ate out.
We are already planning our next holiday to Bali and I hope your Villa will be available, we’re thinking August/September 2011.

We just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at the Villa. Ani and Maria were absolutely wonderful and made our stay so much better … their cooking was delicious and they were so helpful. We loved the Villa – the kids spent heaps of time in the pool and the rest of us lazed around quite a lot which was fantastic. We went to the Lemon Grass restaurant nearby a couple of times as we enjoyed it so much.
Thanks for all your help and for helping us to have a wonderful time in Bali.
My partner and I stayed here for a week during our last visit to Bali and thanks to the staff and the weather we had a really fun time. Villa was lovely and comfotable, the pool devine when its hot, that’s all the time.
We rented motor bikes and rode all around the area and visited heaps of shops and resturants in the area. So much quieter than Kuta and Seminyak, it was a great change of pace. Famous Echo Beach was just down the road. They had some really great local resturants, cheap beer and eats and Sticky Fingers had the best coffee in the whole area. Just sitting at sunset watching the surfers and having a quiet drink was fantastic.
Local business are inexpensive and very helpful. Laundry at 50 cents a garment, washed and ironed!. Warungs locally – Pork Satays at 20 cents each, a dozens just not enough (grab a bagfull and sit by the pool eating satay and drinking cool beer). Call in to the car rental place at Echo Beach where car and driver for the day, bargain down to 300,000 (37 AUD). Local supermarket with local prices.
All in all we had a great time a look forward to coming back next year.
I had a lovely stay at Our Bali Villa in Canggu. The villa is set in the rice paddies with great views from all balconies and the sunrise view to the mountain is spectacular. The swimming pool is kept in immaculate condition and the facilities at the villa are spotless. I enjoyed the meals, which were fresh and plentiful, served by happy and friendly staff. There is a fantastic massage and beauty salon just 5 minutes walk away.I recommend Our Bali Villa to anyone who wants to stay somewhere quiet and away from the noise and chaos of the main tourist traps.
We’ve just spent a fabulous week at Our Bali Villa. It was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. We spent more time at the villa than we thought we would because it was so spacious and inviting – floating in the swimming pool under the warm Bali sun is very special. The lush gardens, comfortable verandahs and outdoor dining areas make it easy to relax. The meals we had at the villa were some of the best we had in Bali. The free wifi meant we were never out of touch with home.
The staff were charming and always helpful whether we wanted to book transport, in-house massages, or just about anything else.
The location in Canggu is extremely convenient – we were able to get to beautiful beaches, Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud and more. Transport was easy and inexpensive.
For my first ever visit to Bali, I was very fortunate to be able to stay at Our Bali Villa with a close friend and his family, and I had an amazing holiday. The villa was exceptionally attractive and inviting – like a luxurious mansion. One of the most enjoyable things was coming home from surfing at the nearby beach and being able to chill out on the really comfy sofas, lying back and enjoying a movie on the plasma and DVD equipment. The free wi-fi allowed me to stay in touch with all my friends back home the whole time I was away – very important for a teenager!
We went in the pool every morning and I wish I could do that now. Deep enough at one end to dive in and big enough to float around completely relaxed. I also loved standing on the balcony every morning looking out over the paddy fields while getting ‘attacked’ by the ridiculously coloured Balinese bugs, which don’t actually bite.
I would’ve like the domestic staff to have been a bit more social, but nonetheless they were very helpful and the meals they prepared were fantastic – authentic Balinese food, not the Western-style stuff served in most of the restaurants over there. Because I stayed for two weeks, I got to try everything on offer and found a favourite dish, which I could enjoy at the villa any time I wanted.
My Husband, myself and 3 sons 23,25,27 y.o.’s, budget travelled around Bali for 2 weeks, and hired this Villa for another 2 weeks to treat ouselves. Every cent spent on this accommodation was worth it. The Villa is in a beautiful setting, on it’s own, rice paddocks surrounding the Villa where you can see the locals working on their rice fields. The Villa is huge and we were very impressed with the decor. When we arrived, it had a special touch of frangipanni’s placed on the beds and scattered thoughout the Villa. Staff are delightful and helpful. Food at the Villa was great but we did tend to eat out a lot to try different eating spots. There are water fountains and wonderful tropical plants around the Villa and there is a seperate garden area where we spent some relaxing time. The beach is too far to walk (for us) but we didn’t have a problem with that because taxi’s are so cheap and we did hire scooters for a days to explore the area.
The pool is large and always inviting, we swam a lot.
I gave the location 5 stars because Canggu is a great area where you living amongst the locals, such friendly people. Our sons also loved the Villa and the cold Bintang on hand (have to pay for it) and the Echo Beach area. They actually want to go back with their mates next year and take their surf boards.
As the driver pulls sharply to the left you can be forgiven if at first you think that he might have made a mistake. There are rice paddies to your right, and the narrow road does not seem to lead anywhere. Then you notice that there are two houses to your left. When your car stops at the second one, at No. 6, you realise that this is indeed an imposing villa, where you are first greeted by a native statue, and then by the friendly staff who come to open the gate for you.
Your luggage will be taken care of by the young men, and Maria, with a naturally sweet smile, will be showing you to your rooms. The villa has a good lay-out, with a large central and comfortable living area downstairs, including a bar. Two bedrooms are to the left, sharing a bathroom between them, and a generously sized kitchen to the right, which leads the eye straight out to the backyard with its glittering kidney-shaped pool.
Upstairs are two very large bedrooms boasting two double beds, with a balcony at either end, and each with its own bathroom. There is a choice of air-conditioning or fan, or simply the natural breeze you get by opening the opposing windows. Between the bedrooms, on the landing, is a cosy study with armchairs and bookshelves, and a scrapbook choc-a-bloc with useful suggestions of things to do – the perfect spot for using your computer with the help of wifi, if indeed you can be bothered with such trifles in paradise.
Next door, inter-connected and still within the same compound, is the bungalow – a timber structure of a more traditional feel, with its own living area and a double bedroom. The garden is lush and restful.
The sound of running water follows you wherever you go, as there are fountains galore, and there is even a fish tank. Potted plants against the back wall enhance the outdoor area. Although there is a large dining table indoors, most probably you will be tempted to use the outdoor table for breakfast, overlooking the pool, while planning the tough program for your day. What to do in paradise? Simply stay put and let the meals appear from the staff kitchen, swim and read and chat and snooze? Definitely to be recommended for the first day or two, to get over any jetlag and to acclimatise. There is a variety of generous breakfast, lunch and dinner options, and if you feel you have eaten too much, you can hop on the exercise bikes which are discreetly tucked in a corner. Cane furniture and two deckchairs complete this tropical oasis.
The moment you feel more enterprising, it is easy to summon a taxi, or to hop on your hired motorbike, and to go exploring the neighbourhood. There is Seminyak with its famous shopping strip. The hottest night spot is Ku dé Ta, which functions as a restaurant with views over the beach during the day. Ultimo, an up-market Italian restaurant, is not far away. If you like it more simple, why not try one of the many warungs, traditional low-cost eateries with delicious local food?
Also in close proximity is the famous Echo Beach, where they grill seafood every evening of the year. You make your choice of fish, take a plate, help yourself to the salads and wait for your fish to be served to your table. All this while sipping a cool beer and listening to the waves breaking on the beach, and watching the tropical sun disappear behind the horizon. This spot is unpretentious and particularly popular with surfers.
It is up to you to discover the rest!=====================
Our Bali Villa is a terrific place to recharge your batteries. It feels like your own home, with all the comforts of home, and all yet all the attractions of coastal Bali are close by. In other worlds, it offers the best of both worlds. We went there with a list of things to do in the area and ended up spending much more time at the villa than planned – we were so comfortable there. The staff are extremely friendly and charming, there’s a choice of tasty Indonesian or Western food, and it has all the mod cons – plasma TV and DVD player with comfy sofas, wifi etc. We were only two but the house would be ideal for a large family or group of friends. There’s the added bonus of Echo Beach just a few minutes away – great for watching surfers and the sunset, and dining on grilled seafood.
We arrived tired after a two day trip down from Menjangan National Park and just wanted a place for the night but found the place and location to be great so stayed for 10 days while exploring various places close by. It’s a delightful place to stay and we relaxed away from the crowds when we wanted and swam and slept and had massages! We visited echo beach for dinner – delicious but not as good as ani’s food! Everything we needed and more.
